Purple Cabbage Experiment
Purple Cabbage Experiment
Last Friday we were doing science learning about purple cabbage. First, we put three cups of water and purple cabbage into a blender, then poured the juice and into three cups. The first cup just cabbage juice, and second cup put some white vinegar in the cabbage juice and the colour turned red. Then we put some washing powder in the third cup and the colour turned green. That was exciting.
This means that vinegar is acidic, as the acidic things on the pH scale are red.
Washing powder is alkaline, because these things are green.
