Decomposing and Recycling

Aim: To learn about the rate that different materials decompose. 

Hypothesis: Banana, bread, brown paper and white stylophone, I think that banana will decompose the fastest in them.

Materials:

1.   Test Tube x4
2.   White stylophone
3.   Brown paper
4.   Bread
5.   Banana
6.   Water

Steps:

1. Set up a test tube holder.
2. Put each test tube in the holder.
3. Put Bread in one tube.
4. Put paper in one tube.
5. Put white stylophone in one tube.
6. Put Bananas in one tube,

Findings:

3 weeks	Colour	Change	Observations
Banana	Brown	Yellow - Brown	The banana is mouldy, it is all brown and it has a bit of green on it, is smell stink.
Paper	Brown	Didn't change	Is the same before 3 weeks.
Stylophone cup	White	Didn't change	Is the same before 3 weeks.
Bread	Brown	White - Brown	The bread is mouldy, it is all brown and it has a bit of green and white and yellow on it, is smell stink.
